The jewish and moorish heritage

Many jews settled in the Morocco in 3th BC and their population increased a century later .In 1492 ,Morocco knew floods of jewish refugees because of the Spanish Expulsion .Here they enjoyed peace and progress .They became good in Education ,arts ,handicrafts and occupied many political positions .They got mixed with the rest of the Moroccan society and shared the same rights of justice.Therefore;it not a surprise that Morocco used to have the largest jewish community in the Islamic World. You will be picked up from your hotel or riad to the Jewish quarter “Mellah” where you will visit the Saadian Badie Palace dating back to the 16th c .You drive the the Jewish cemetery that you can visit when it is open .You finish your tour by enjoying the moorish architecture of the Bahia palace .
